161 is a clear expression of my visual language: Glam Realism I am drawn to images that are carefully constructed, yet remain connected to a real environment and a real presence.

For me, the most compelling photographs exist in that in-between space — between fiction and reality. Photographed with Stacy Bloom at Bärenquell Brauerei during the filming of a documentary series in Berlin, 161 carries a raw immediacy. The industrial setting and the almost unreal light became essential elements of the image’s atmosphere.
